I am a Bicentennial graduate of Mullins High School.  My first degree was a Bachelor of Arts in History from South Carolina State University. After moving to Tuskegee, I attended Auburn Montgomery earning a Master of Education with a concentration in History and a Master's in School Counseling.

From May 1978 to November 1988,  I was a National Park Service Ranger. As a Park Ranger, I worked many exciting places including the courthouse where Dred Scot sued for his freedom and the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Atlanta, GA.
